Pak-a-boo

A ghost that peeks in to make you พัก (rest).

Last updated: August 26, 2026 — applies to the Pak-a-boo Chrome extension, all versions.

Privacy Policy

Short version: Pak-a-boo collects nothing. There are no accounts, no backend server, and no analytics of any kind. Everything the extension needs — your break schedule, today's stats, your language and focus settings — is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage, and never transmitted anywhere.

No data collection No accounts No servers No analytics No remote code

What's stored, and where

All of the following stays on your device, inside Chrome's local extension storage, and is deleted automatically if you uninstall the extension:

None of this is synced to any external service, sent over the network, or accessible to anyone but you.

Why each permission is needed

Third parties

Pak-a-boo does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external link in the extension is an optional, entirely voluntary "buy me a cocoa" donation link to a third-party payment page (Ko-fi), which you are never required to visit or use.

Children's privacy

Pak-a-boo is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — because it does not collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.

Terms & Conditions

License

Pak-a-boo is free, open-source software released under the MIT License. You're welcome to use, inspect, or modify it under those terms.

No warranty

Pak-a-boo is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. The developer is not liable for any damages or issues arising from its use.

Not medical advice. The stretches, eye-rest cues, and hydration reminders in Pak-a-boo are general wellness suggestions, not medical guidance. If any exercise causes pain or discomfort, stop immediately. Consult a healthcare professional for any health concerns, especially before starting a new stretching routine.

Cost

Pak-a-boo is free forever. The "buy me a cocoa" link in the popup is a purely optional way to support development — it is never required, and no payment unlocks any feature.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time; continued use of the extension after an update means you accept the current terms as posted here.
